LICA Golf Outing: A Sun-Sational Cinco De Mayo
We were celebrating Cinco de Mayo, however the 2022 LICA Golf Outing held last Thursday clearly benefitted from some ‘luck of the Irish.’ Amid a week highlighted by heavy rains, nearly 300 golfers were lucky enough to enjoy a picture perfect, sunny, 70-degree day on our two beautiful courses - Cold Spring Country Club and Huntington Crescent Club. LICA was extremely thankful for both the beautiful weather, as well as all our golfers, dinner guests and sponsors who supported this important event as LICA’s only fundraiser of the year!

A huge thank you goes out to our 2022 LICA Golf Committee members for all their efforts: Mike Murillo and Billy Haugland of Haugland Group and Curt Kappauf (with help from Kim Bernard) of Construction Risk Partners. Honorary committee member Larry McCrann and H.O. Penn provided the Wheelbarrow of Cheer and served again as our personal outing ‘flagman.’ And the outing would not be possible without the hard work of our LICA staff and volunteers, led by LICA ‘golf guru’ Deputy Executive Director & CFO, Sheryl Buro.
In addition to the welcome gift, golfer goodies and dinner gifts that participants received, a handful of skilled players and lucky guests also went home with some terrific prizes!
