LICA Hosts DEC Part 360 Presentation
Yesterday, LICA brought in consultant Michael White, Esq. of Tunnel Hill Partners and key personnel from the NYSDEC, including David Vitale, Director of Materials Management, to give our members and partners a comprehensive presentation about the final revisions to the NYS Solid Waste Management regulations commonly known as Part 360 which take effect November 4. The presentation was followed by an extensive, open Q&A session where many attendees asked specific questions which are key to different parts of the industry and expressed how the adoption of the new revisions could impact their businesses. Read more about this meeting in our next “LICA’s Latest” egram which is due out October 31. The presentation (click here to view/download) was given by Richard Clarkson, Director of Bureau of Permitting and Planning, who was joined by David Vitale for the Q&A session. Other NYSDEC Region 1 officials in attendance were: Regional Director Carrie Meek Gallagher, Regional Engineer for Materials Management Merlange Genese, Regional Director of Materials Management Syed Rahman, and Environmental Monitors for Materials Management David Gibb and Jim Wade.
