LICA urges all members, partners and industry supporters to attend our upcoming LICA 2019 Fall Legislative Breakfast to be held Friday morning, October 18 at the NYIT deSeversky Center from 8:00-10:30 am. LICA will proudly welcome recently confirmed NYSDOT Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez as our keynote, marking this her first official visit to our region as Commissioner. Dr. Alison Premo Black, Senior VP and Chief Economist for the American Road & Transportation Builders (ARTBA), who authored the recent LICA study about local LI road and bridge contract awards, will also be a guest speaker. With a new 5-year capital program soon to be drafted, it is imperative that we, as industry representatives for Long Island, make a strong show of support to clearly express the importance of upgrading, maintaining and improving Long Island’s critical infrastructure to ensure that we get our fair share of funding and support from Albany.
